Why grill your romaine lettuce?
Aside from the ease of not having to chop and dice, Romaine is sturdy enough on its own to stand up to the grill. It becomes easily charred on the outside and gets a little soft on the inside with only a short amount of time on the grill (we recommend around 2 minutes on each side). It completely transforms your typical salad into something so delicious.
How to serve grilled romaine
Your smokey and tender grilled romaine is best served on a platter, topped with a variety of summer-friendly ingredients. Target’s G&G Meyer Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing gave this lettuce the perfect sweetness, while cherries and feta created a tart contrast. Grilled Romaine Salad with Cherries and Feta

Ingredients
- 2 hearts of romaine, halved or quartered, depending on size
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cherries, pitted and halved
- Crumbled feta
- Toasted walnuts
- G&G Meyer lemon dressing
Instructions
- Heat grill to medium-high.
- Place romaine over direct heat and char, about 2 min per side.
- Remove from heat and arrange on a platter.
- Top with cherries, feta, and walnuts. Drizzle with dressing and sprinkle flaky salt.
