Finding the best pair of women’s underwear can be a challenge, especially as our bodies change over time. As a former thong-only enthusiast (don’t judge me—I was in my 20s and a product of the 90s!), my underwear preferences have evolved. My biggest struggles have been finding options that don’t ride up, bunch, roll, and break down over time. Even though it’s a known fact that women don’t replace their underwear nearly enough, we still want our purchase to last the test of time.

Let’s face it: every body type has different needs regarding underwear. On most days, underwear is functional. On other days, it has to fit a need. That’s why you’ll find a few utility picks on this round-up too, such as maternity, period underwear, and lace. I’m sharing not only my personal favorites but also insights from reviewers. We’ll explore the best women’s underwear in terms of quality, durability, price points, and special features so you can find the perfect pair to fit your needs.

The Best Underwear for Women

Navigating the world of women’s underwear has undoubtedly evolved. Gone are the days of only a handful of options and styles. The quest for comfort, quality, and style can all be yours. From thongs to briefs and everything in between, finding the best women’s underwear involves understanding individual preferences and needs. Whether it’s for everyday wear, maternity, or specific preferences like lace or period underwear, the journey to finding the perfect fit continues with informed decisions and reviews guiding the way.

Cons: Inconsistent sizing or fit issues. Limited colors/patterns.

Details:

 • Colors: Nine in-stock colors, including a range of nudes.
 • Size range: XXS (31-34-inch hips) to 4X (55.5-59-inch hips)

With August underway and the summer winding down, we’re making the most of these long, lingering days before the back-to-school season officially begins. That means all the al fresco dinners, taking our workouts outdoors, and plenty of sun-soaked afternoons spent poolside. With that final to-do being top of mind, we’re scouring the internet for all the best one-piece swimsuits. Because as much as we love our bikinis, there’s no denying: one-piece swimsuits are back.

When I say the best one-piece swimsuits, I mean it. Translation: We’re not suiting up for pool-length laps—these pieces are pure style. I’m obsessing over thin-strapped cami suits that give all the European vibes and cross-back shapes that are universally flattering. The best part of all? These one-piece swimsuits are all under $100. That’s right, we’ve done the impossible.

I Was Anti-Denim Shorts Until Now—These 10 Pairs Changed My Mind https://camillestyles.com/beauty/best-denim-shorts/ https://camillestyles.com/beauty/best-denim-shorts/#respond Wed, 17 Jul 2024 10:00:00 +0000 https://camillestyles.com/?p=274945 The perfect short does exist.

The post I Was Anti-Denim Shorts Until Now—These 10 Pairs Changed My Mind appeared first on Camille Styles.

]]>
Denim shorts have been a wardrobe staple for decades, evolving from Daisy Duke’s iconic cut-offs to today’s trendy high-waisted mom shorts. But finding the perfect pair? There’s nothing short about that mission.

I’ll admit, I’ve long been skeptical of denim shorts. They never seemed comfortable or flattering to me, and I often opted for poplin shorts or full-length jeans instead. But recognizing their enduring popularity and versatility, I decided to give them another chance. After scouring the internet for the best denim shorts, I’ve had a change of heart. Spoiler alert: the perfect pair has completely transformed my opinion.

Join us as we unpack just what constitutes the perfect pair of denim shorts—because let’s face it, when you find “the one,” it’s like slipping into a second skin that makes you feel confident, comfortable, and utterly chic.

What to Consider When Finding the Best Denim Shorts

Finding the best denim shorts is a personal journey. As with any type of clothing, these are not one-size-fits-all. The denim shorts that your best friend raves about might not be right for you, and vice-versa. Don’t be afraid to try on multiple styles and trust your instincts. When you find the right pair, you’ll know—but here are some factors to consider when shopping.

 • Length Options. From micro-shorts to Bermudas, the length of your shorts can dramatically change your look. Consider where you’ll be wearing denim shorts and what you feel most comfortable in.
 • Rise. The rise of your shorts—low, mid, or high—can make a big difference in both comfort and style. A higher rise tends to be more flattering and versatile, while a low rise can be more relaxed and comfortable.
 • Wash and Color. While classic blue denim is always a go-to, don’t be afraid to experiment with different washes and colors. A crisp white pair can be the perfect complement to a summer tan, while black denim shorts offer edgy versatility.
 • Distressing and Details. From subtle fading to rips and tears, the level of distressing on your shorts can take them from polished to lived-in. Consider your personal style and where you’ll wear them when deciding on the amount of distressing.
 • Comfort and Flexibility. The best pair of shorts are the ones you’ll want to wear. Look for a comfortable waistband that doesn’t dig in and consider stretch denim if you prioritize ease of movement.
 • Price Range. While it’s tempting to go for the cheapest option, investing in a quality pair of denim shorts can pay off in the long run. They’ll last longer, fit better, and often become more comfortable with each wear.

The Best Denim Shorts, From Cut-Offs to Bermudas

After an extensive search involving numerous online orders and countless trips to the mall, I’ve curated a comprehensive list of the best denim shorts for women. This carefully selected collection covers a wide range of styles, from timeless cut-offs to contemporary boyfriend fits. Each pair has been personally tested and evaluated for comfort, style, and versatility.

So, let’s dive into the ultimate guide to the best denim shorts available today. Whether you prefer a classic look or something more on-trend, I’m confident you’ll find your perfect pair.

Best Overall Denim Shorts: Citizens of Humanity Marlow Vintage Short

Best Overall Denim Shorts: Citizens of Humanity Marlow Vintage Short

When I close my eyes and envision what denim shorts should look and feel like, I picture these exact shorts from Citizens of Humanity. Sitting right at the waist with a slight a-line silhouette, the Marlow Vintage Short is the perfect pair to kick-off your denim short journey. The denim isn’t stretchy, but it’s by far the softest of the bunch and is made from 100% regenerative cotton. I ordered my true size and they fit like a glove.

Best Affordable Shorts: Abrand Venice Short

Best Affordable Shorts: Abrand Venice Short

When researching the best denim shorts, I came across Abrand denim, and it might be my favorite brand discovery to date. I was pleasantly surprised by the fit and quality of these sub-$100 shorts, as in the past I’ve been burned by cheaper denim. With a classic fit, raw hem, and vintage blue wash, this is the perfect pair for anyone who’s still a bit skeptical of denim shorts. I sized up for a more relaxed fit.

Best Mom Shorts: Annabelle Long Vintage Relaxed Short

Best Mom Shorts: Annabelle Long Vintage Relaxed Short

For all of us who appreciate a full coverage denim short, the Annabelle Long Vintage pair from Citizens of Humanity are everything. Though you can find them in just about any wash you could want, I ordered the “Amaretto” wash and am obsessed with the dark, vintage wash. Extremely comfortable and soft, these run true to size and have just the right amount of give.

Best High-Waisted Shorts: AGOLDE Parker Long Short

Best High-Waisted Shorts: AGOLDE Parker Long Short

I’ve owned a pair of AGOLDE Parker denim shorts for years, and while they are still in great shape, I’ve been feeling like I’ve outgrown the short length. When I saw they offer the same style in a longer version, I immediately added the white colorway to cart. The loose-fitting, high-rise, vintage vibe is exactly what I’m looking for in the best denim shorts. Plus, AGOLDE runs a bit large, and it always feels great to order my smaller denim size, IYKYK!

Best Boyfriend Shorts: Reformation Raye Mid Rise Relaxed Jean Shorts

Best Boyfriend Shorts: Reformation Raye Mid Rise Relaxed Jean Shorts

If there was a category for most surprising denim shorts, this boyfriend pair from Reformation would take the gold. The second I tried these shorts on, I immediately fell in love with the flattering, effortless look, but was sold on the top-tier comfort. I sized up thinking that I’d need more room throughout the leg, but wish I got my true size instead—they’re naturally baggy! Although less versatile than classic denim shorts, I think these might be my favorite pair that I tried.

Best Statement Shorts: Source Unknown Flared Denim Shorts

Best Statement Shorts: Source Unknown Flared Denim Shorts

Statement pieces are rarely affordable, but these Source Unknown shorts are without a doubt both. Almost a cross between a skirt and shorts, these flared, A-line denim shorts are the perfect pair to style up and get creative with. Girly girls everywhere need these in their closets because I’ve never felt cuter. These are on preorder in most colors, but I guarantee they are worth the wait.

Best Cut-Off Shorts: Levi’s 501 Original Short

Best Cut-Off Shorts: Levi’s 501 Original Short

When ordering denim online, I always recommend sticking with brands that you know you can trust for fit and quality. If you’re looking for classic, distressed cut-offs that elongate your legs, look no further than these Levi’s 501 shorts. They’re on the shorter side, but I appreciate that the back has no distressing, providing ample coverage. These have a mid-rise fit and run a bit small. I sized up for some extra room and length, and they ended up fitting just right.

Best Bermuda Shorts: Rolla’s Super Mirage Short

Best Bermuda Shorts: Rolla’s Super Mirage Short

Bermuda shorts tend to polarize opinions, and these Rolla’s shorts have transitioned me from a hater to a lover. The super high-rise with the super loose leg creates the most flattering shape on my body and definitely looks high fashion. While I loved them styled with a tight tank and ballet flats, I think these shorts would look adorable dressed up with a heel. I recommend ordering your true size or smaller to maintain that snatched-waist look.

More Denim Shorts You’ll Love

Madewell Denim Emmett Short: Patch Pocket Edition

Perhaps the classiest denim shorts I’ve ever seen, these fitted A-line shorts have a high rise with front patch pockets. Even paired with a simple white t-shirt, these dark wash denim shorts are a stand-out.

Gap 4″ Low Rise Stride Denim Shorts

Low-rise and loose, these affordable denim shorts are an excellent choice for those that put comfort first. Like all of the best denim shorts, these just get better with wear.

With temps at their highest all year, keeping cool while looking styled can feel like a balancing act. Denim shorts and a white tee are go-to, warm-weather staples, but I need a little more in my rotation to keep me feeling inspired. Enter the best linen clothing. The effortless, European summer-coded fabric is light and breathable. And honestly? It’s all I want to wear.

The Best Linen Clothing to Elevate Your Wardrobe

I’m a firm believer that we should all be living in linen right now. To help you navigate the trending—but timeless!—fabric, I’ve rounded up this season’s best linen clothing.

From the perfect pair of white linen pants to statement dresses, every piece in the list below is guaranteed to make you feel your comfiest and coolest, while looking your best. And if you think linen is only a summer essential, think again. The best linen clothing can be paired with warm knits and denim during the transitional seasons, too! So, get ready to add-to-cart because the linen clothing your closet needs is all right here.

Camille Styles wearing linen top and denim shorts.

Best Linen Clothing: Tops

From vests to button-downs, linen tops are at the top of my wishlist. Pairing perfectly with denim, silks, or coordinating bottoms, a linen top is an elevated alternative to your favorite white tee or tank.

When shopping for linen tops, I look for something that’s a bit more fun and flirty for summer outings. However, most of these can also double as workwear. You can also never go wrong styling a white linen button-down unbuttoned over a white tank with a good pair of jeans. Throw on a sunhat and a pair of fun sandals and you have an effortlessly chic summer fit. Out of all of the best linen clothing, I recommend investing in a linen top (or two), as these can be easily layered depending on the time of year and styled with just about any bottom in your closet.

100% European Linen Strapless Top

Our Managing Editor, Isabelle, has this top in navy and she’s obsessed. (And prepared to buy one in every color.) The simple, universally flattering shape is undeniably elegant, giving—as the name suggests—pure European summer vibes.

Linen Tie Tank

I may be biased considering I had a hand in designing this one, but this tank is the ultimate hack for record-breaking heat. Plus, it has coordinating shorts, pants, and a skirt, so you can take your pick to match!

Linen-Blend Button-Back Cropped Tank Top

Your favorite white tank has competition. The button detailing on the back of this top is an added bonus for this elevated basic.

The Boxy Linen Shirt

I’m obsessed with this modern take on a traditional linen button-down. Not-your-boyfriend’s-vacation-shirt, this flattering, boxy top is a true closet staple.

Scout Linen Halter Top

If you’re looking for a more playful twist on a traditional linen vest, I’m loving this backless halter top. It feels sexy but still chic, and unique but still classic.

Emelia Black Linen Wrap Shirt

Bows are all the rage this year, and this linen wrap shirt is the perfect subtle way to incorporate the trend into your summer wardrobe.

FAITHFULL THE BRAND Antibes Top

There’s nothing more flattering than an open back, and I love that this linen tank has adjustable tie straps for a more customized fit. Plus, you just can’t beat this color (and the fact it has matching pants)!

Bess Linen Top

Reformation has chic and girly nailed down. This structured, feminine top is sure to turn heads everywhere from the office to out on the town.

100% Linen Boyfriend Shirt

This classic linen button-down is the key to easy dressing all summer. Throw it over a dress, a bikini, or a tank and you’re set.

Maxine Button-Back Top in Linen

We all know yellow is having a moment, and yellow linen is my favorite summer spin on the trend—specifically this button-back top.

Alessia White Linen Vest

If you know me, you know I’ve been wearing DISSH’s linen vests non-stop since last year. A tried-and-true classic, this (or one of their other vest styles) is my number one linen top recommendation.

Woman wearing long linen skirt.

Best Linen Clothing: Bottoms

As someone who avoids denim shorts 99% of the year, finding summer pants, skirts, and shorts can prove to be a challenge. However, I started building my collection of the best linen clothing last summer. Now, these linen bottoms have become a no-brainer when getting dressed.

From DISSH’s coordinating skirts to J.Crew’s long and lean shorts, these bottoms will be the perfect pair to every top you own—linen or not. When shopping for linen bottoms, specifically white ones, be sure they aren’t see-through, and wear nude underwear regardless. (Skims is the best.)

Personally, I’ve been living in Reformation’s linen pants. They pass the sheer test, and they’re so easy to style that I’m tempted to wear them every day. (Don’t worry, I actively remind myself to give my other linen staples some love.) But of course, you can’t go wrong with any of the pieces on this list.

100% European Linen Pants

Gorgeous linen pants at under $40? Dreams do come true. The fit is lightweight and loose but still flattering thanks to the tapered, high waist. These would look so chic with a simple slide or Birks.

Side Stripe Linen Pant

Deiji Studios is one of my favorite brands that I’ve discovered this year. These striped linen pants feel like pajamas but look like a million bucks.

Olina Linen Pant

These are hands down the best linen pants I’ve tried. Both my mom and I grabbed a pair last time we were at Reformation and I’ve barely taken them off since! Pro tip: Nude underwear, always.

Clean Button-Tab Shorts in 100% Linen

Bury me in these shorts and a white t-shirt with “stylish, smart, and tasteful” inscribed on the tombstone. No one will know if it’s written about me, or these shorts.

365 High Rise Linen-Blend Shorts

A classic linen short silhouette, these affordable shorts from Gap will never go out of style—so cost-per-wear is essentially $0. (Girl math.)

Linen Skirt

Everyone needs a good mini skirt in their closet and I highly recommend this natural shade from Daily Drills. It goes with everything but pairs perfectly with the brand’s coordinating Tie Tank + linen vest.

Long Tropez Short in Linen

Long shorts are taking center stage this summer, and this linen pair from J.Crew is the perfect way to emulate influencers’ style with ease.

Von Cream Linen Skort

Skorts are one of the best things since sliced bread, and I’ve been eyeing this chic dual-tone linen skort from DISSH forever. Pairing perfectly with both white and black tops, I think it’s finally time I add to cart.

Andi Linen Skirt

This versatile skirt from Reformation can be buttoned up or down, depending on how big of a slit you want. And, mark my words, plaid is having a resurgence.

The Harlow Wide-Leg Pant in 100% Linen

These striped linen pants are the perfect statement pant to add to your wardrobe. Classic and timeless, yet still fun and funky. Proof that you can have it all.

Petra White Linen Midi Skirt

I’m in love with the detail on this linen midi skirt. For summer brides and those vacationing somewhere gorgeous, this one is for you.

Woman wearing linen short jumpsuit.

Best Linen Clothing: Dresses & Jumpsuits

Linen dresses or jumpsuits are the most obvious choice for an easy, (literally) breezy summer look. There’s nothing better than a one-and-done outfit that makes you feel confident, comfortable, and cool in the heat. Ideal for daytime cookouts, dinners al fresco, and even summer weddings, the best linen clothing can be dressed up or down with the right accessories.

I’ve been gravitating toward linen dresses every weekend. With a swap from a sneaker to a sandal, these looks can take me through my entire day. I’d style the below linen dresses and jumpsuits with a strappy sandal, a raffia bag, and a pearl necklace for a simple—never boring—look that’ll earn compliments everywhere you go.

Delia Linen Dress

Some of you may still be on the fence, but bubble dresses and bubble skirts are gaining major traction. This drop-waist mini dress is an excellent way to dip your toes into this trend.

Scalloped-Trim Shift Dress in Linen

Another butter yellow beauty, the scalloped detailing on this dress will earn you best-dressed points at any summer wedding.

Emi Linen Fit & Flare Midi Dress

Managing Editor, Isabelle can’t get enough of this dress. The fit is universally flattering, with a nipped-in waist and breathable linen for a classically feminine silhouette. She has it in white and found that the inner lining keeps the fabric from being see-through.

Bow-Detail Linen Midi Dress

This dress is a complete showstopper. I’m imagining wearing this wandering the streets of Italy in search of the perfect pasta pomodoro. Tomato girl summer forever.

Malika Linen Jumpsuit

Flattering and feminine, this jumpsuit is an easy yes. I’d style this with a ponytail and a statement earring for a fun night out.

Full Of Sunshine Cotton-Linen Mini

This dress is business in the front, party in the back. If you’re wary of backless dresses, I recommend using KT Tape as an affordable, secure sticky bra alternative.

Fit & Flare Linen-Blend Midi Dress

This dress is giving yacht club vibes without the price tag. Easily dressed up and down, this linen dress is perfect for packing on vacation.

Cami Linen Dress

Summer is the season of bold dressing, and this printed mini dress has my name written all over it. Perfect for Euro Summer styling and backyard BBQs alike.

Pauline Linen Midi Dress

This is the only LBD I want to be wearing this summer, except in this case it stands for “Linen Black Dress.” With its halter neckline and midi length, this dress pairs perfectly with both flats and heels.

Ciara Linen Romper

It’s rare for a piece of clothing to pair well with sneakers and heels, but this linen romper looks superb with both. I’m also a sucker for a square neckline and a one-piece.

Posse Lori Dress in Polka Dot

Although a bit of a splurge, I dream about this dress and had to include it on this list. Backless and beautiful, this is my ideal summer wedding guest dress.

The Perfect White Tee Does Exist—Our Style Editor Found the Best on the Market https://camillestyles.com/beauty/best-white-t-shirts-for-women/ https://camillestyles.com/beauty/best-white-t-shirts-for-women/#respond Fri, 14 Jun 2024 10:00:00 +0000 https://camillestyles.com/?p=271168 And no, it doesn't cost a fortune.

The post The Perfect White Tee Does Exist—Our Style Editor Found the Best on the Market appeared first on Camille Styles.

]]>
Whether you’re building a capsule wardrobe, looking to refresh your basics, or feeling stuck with your style, purchasing a good white t-shirt is always a good place to start. The best white t-shirts for women can be worn alone, styled up or down, and layered under sweaters and jackets, making them an essential investment in every woman’s closet. In theory, finding a perfect white t-shirt should be easy, but for whatever reason the number one fashion question in my group text is always “Does anybody have a white t-shirt that they actually love?”

It seems as if every tee is either too tight, too cropped, too sheer, or too baggy, and finding a tee that checks off every box feels like mission impossible. Plus, the online shopping market is overflowing with options for the best white t-shirts for women, so even choosing one to order can feel overwhelming.

But fear not! I ordered and tried every white t-shirt that the internet recommends so you don’t have to.

The Best White T-Shirts For Women

Sure, a white t-shirt is a white t-shirt and you can make do with what you’ve got. Finding the right white t-shirt though feels like Cinderella slipping her foot into the glass slipper for the first time. You realize that all of the other white t-shirts you’ve tried weren’t right for you, and a simple tee becomes your new favorite top. At least, that’s how I felt during this process.

Read on for my review of the best white t-shirts for women on the market, and find out which tee is my glass slipper.

Best Overall White T-Shirt: LESET Margo Tee

TikTok is obsessed with the Margo Tee, so I had very high expectations. Spoiler: those expectations were exceeded. I sized up to a medium so that it wouldn’t be tight across the chest and I love the fit. The length hits right at the waist of most of my jeans and the sleeves slightly flair out for a flattering fit on my arms. It’s slimming without being fitted and thin without being sheer. What more could you want in a t-shirt? It’s $68, which is justified by the quality of the fit and feel.

Final verdict: Out of all of the best white t-shirts for women I tried, this is my number one recommendation for a classic tee that’ll last you years.

Best Affordable T-Shirt: Old Navy Vintage T-Shirt

Perfect for anyone that can relate to the “If I like it, I’ll buy it in every color” trend, this Old Navy T-Shirt is one you can stock up on without breaking the bank. I have a lot of friends who prefer to buy white t-shirts in bulk and toss them when they start to age, and this was their number one recommendation. Under $20, this tee has a super similar fit and feel to the LESET tee, though it’s a bit boxier and more casual. I will say that I sized up to a medium and wish I stuck to my true size, because it already has an intentional, vintage, oversized look.

Final verdict: I’ll be living in this tee all summer without fear of ruining it with sweat stains because I obviously already own a backup.

Best Cropped T-Shirt: Cotton Citizen The Tokyo Crop Tee

Long before my search for the best white t-shirts for women began, this was (and still is) one of my all-time favorite tees. It’s cropped without showing too much of my stomach, and the boxy, drapey fit makes it comfier than a typical cropped t-shirt. The material is nice and thick, while the thick neck hem adds a modern, edgier touch. I style this t-shirt most often with high-rise jeans and sneakers, but also love pairing it with leggings and biker shorts for running errands.

Final verdict: At $90, this tee has been in my closet for about three years now and has not changed colors or shown much wear, so in my book it’s worth every penny.

Best Scoop-Neck T-Shirt: Quince Cotton Modal Scoop Neck Tee

I never thought I would describe a white t-shirt as flattering and feminine, but this Scoop Neck Tee from Quince is just that. The swooping neckline is the perfect width so it doesn’t show your bra straps or any cleavage, but it accentuates your collar bones and any necklaces you might be wearing.

Final verdict: I reach for this tee when I’m going for a more polished, dressed up look for the office or brunch, and it instantly feels more elevated than your average tee. The best part? It’s only $15 but feels like it could be $50.

Best Tucking T-Shirt: Anine Bing Lili Tee

I’ve always sought after the polished look of a white t-shirt and slacks or denim, but have never been able to find a shirt long enough or slim enough to achieve the style. That is, until I discovered the Lili Tee from Anine Bing. This is honestly one of the longest t-shirts I’ve ever tried on, making it the perfect shirt for tucking in. Slim fitting on the body (even though it looks massive on the model), I absolutely love the balance of the baggy arms on this tee, because let’s be honest, nobody wants a tight arm opening.

Final verdict: I know that $100 feels crazy to spend on a plain white t-shirt, but the simple elegance of this tee will make you think otherwise, trust me.

Best Pointelle T-Shirt: LESET Pointelle Tee

Another fave from LESET, the Pointelle Tee is the perfect non-boring basic. It’s essentially a cross between a t-shirt and a top, because the pointelle knit and scalloped edges give the shirt enough detail to hold its own without accessories. On-trend yet still classic like all of the best white t-shirts for women, this tee is a girly-girl’s dream. I also love styling this ultra-feminine tee with denim overalls for some funky juxtaposition or under a crewneck sweater, letting the scalloped details peek through the neckline. Bonus points for the pointelle fabric being super breathable for the warmer months!

Final verdict: If you haven’t discovered the comfy, style-driven world of pointelle, welcome. This feminine tee with classic details is the perfect way to step up your white t-shirt game.

Best Long-Sleeve T-Shirt: Daily Drills Ribbed Long Sleeve

A long-sleeved version of my favorite ribbed baby tee, the Daily Drills Ribbed Long Sleeve is one of my most-worn tees in my closet. It’s a layering dream come true, pairing perfectly under vests, cardigans, overalls, and blazers, while still being thin enough so you don’t overheat. I also love wearing this t-shirt on my evening walks in lieu of a jacket. It has the perfect cropped-but-not-too-cropped fit and the armholes are surprisingly not too tight.

Final verdict: With this long-sleeved fit as proof, I’m thinking Daily Drills is due for a restock of the short-sleeved version ASAP because that would also make the shortlist for the best white t-shirts for women.

Camille Styles best white tee.

The post Found: The Best White Sneakers to Wear With Everything This Summer appeared first on Camille Styles.

]]>
Every summer, the quest for a new pair of white sneaks kicks into high gear. Whether you’re torn between classic elegance, contemporary trends, or athletic functionality, finding the perfect pair is crucial. While trends come and go, comfort and durability are essential for any sneaker enthusiast. However, each person has unique needs and preferences when it comes to footwear. That’s why we’ve curated a comprehensive guide to the best white sneakers for women this season, guaranteeing a perfect match for every foot and style.

The Best White Sneakers for Women

To define the list, I considered several key factors: comfort, price range, style, and overall quality. While preferences may vary, these sneakers stood out based on these qualifiers.

Comfort is paramount—no matter how trendy or cute a pair is, you won’t reach for them if they’re not cozy on your feet. Price also played a role, with most options falling within the $150-$250 range. I pored through online reviews, and crowd-sourced opinions, and tried several pairs myself. Did your favorite sneaker make the list?

1. Best Overall: Greats The Royal 2.0

Meet the best of the best white sneakers for women. While the brand is newer, this pair solidified my obsession. The look is sharp but street style-worthy, letting you feel put-together while still expressing a little flair. They hit all the marks: comfort, style, versatility, and classic design.

Why We Love It: For under $200, nothing beats this well-made pair. They’ll last you years, and from skirts to breezy dresses to denim—they’ll look good with every outfit.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: Given their popularity, it’s hard to keep these white sneaks in stock. However, the brand offers other colorways that are just as good.

2. Luxury Splurge: Common Projects Original Achilles Low Sneaker

Quality should justify the price, and Common Projects delivers. Made and sourced in Italy, these sneakers use the finest leather. I’ve had five pairs, and they hold up well and are easy to clean. (Psst… they’re Camille’s favorite, too. They’re the secret to her streamlined packing list.)

Why We Love It: Timeless style and unbeatable quality. You can have them for years and they’ll still look the same as the day you bought them.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: They are one of the pricier pairs on this list.

3. Best Summer Sneaker: Freda Salvator Eda D’Orsay Sneaker

Women-owned and small-batch designs make these sneakers unique. The cutout design keeps your foot cool in the summer heat while adding a statement-making flair.

Why We Love It: Breathable for summer and stylish enough to wear with dresses. The padding ensures ultimate comfort.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: Best for warmer climates.

4. Best Affordable: Keds Champion Original Lace-Up

Keds have been a staple since the 80s. Highlights include support for narrow feet and affordability. These canvas shoes are easy to clean with spot remover.

Why We Love It: Given the price, you can justify adding a new pair to your collection season after season.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: They don’t offer a ton of cushion, and the cotton can be hard to keep clean without a stain guard.

5. The Sporty White Sneaker: Nike Air Max 90

Comfort, craft, and iconic design all land the Air Max on this list. These are my go-to sneakers, perfect for running after kids while looking stylish.

Why We Love It: Adds height and an instant cool girl factor. Made for performance and comfort.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: They can be chunky for those who prefer a slimmer profile.

6. Best Elevated Classic: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Platform Canvas

A cult classic that never goes out of style. I’ve seen the construction process at Converse headquarters, and it’s beyond impressive.

Why We Love It: A timeless sneaker that always returns to style. Every fashion girl keeps a pair in her closet.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: Can look large on long, narrow feet.

7. A Classic with a Twist: Reebok x Anine Bing Freestyle Highshoe

This collaboration brings fashion and comfort to the forefront. Reebok’s durability with Anine Bing’s style makes these a standout.

Why We Love It: Stylish with great ankle support. I love how the shoe looks with a scrunched sock and shorts.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: More of a cream color than pure white.

8. Best Vegan Leather: Loci Origin Sneaker

Preppy and sustainable, these sneakers are made from non-food grade corn and recycled textiles.

Why We Love It: Perfect for the tenniscore trend and eco-friendly.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: Only available online, so trying them on in person isn’t an option.

9. Best Slip-On: Vans Classic Slip-On Shoe

With a wide range of sizing options and the ability to select between a wide and regular width, Vans guarantees a perfect fit. The padded tongue makes these all the more comfortable and easy to slide on. It’s giving effortless off-duty.

Why We Love It: Affordable comfort paired with an iconic design.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: The flat sole may not be comfortable for those with a high instep.

10. Best Splurge: Loewe Flow Retro Runner Sneakers

Cushioned and stylish, the Loewe sneakers make a fashion-forward statement. The quality stitching and gum stole help you stand out while still giving a low-key, cool vibe.

Why We Love It: The gum sole adds a trendy touch.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: High price and somewhat trendy, so these may feel dated a few years down the road.

11. Iconic Streetwear: Nike Air Force 1 ’07

Durably stitched overlay and clean finishes contribute to the signature, standout appeal. Because these are performance-driven and designed for an array of activities, this pair is an obvious choice.

Why We Love It: Cult following and stylish design.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: Sizing runs a bit large.

12. Best Platform: Superga 2740 Mid Platform Sneaker

The platform trend is still going strong—but with comfort and timeless design being a concern, you might want to take part while still lying low. The perfect sneaker for you? Superga’s 2740. A mid-platform design offers height without sacrificing flexibility.

Why We Love It: Adds height without being too bulky.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: Platforms add some weight.

13. Best Sustainable: Veja Esplar Leather Logo Sneakers

Veja’s material and construction are top-notch, and they’re a certified B Corp.

Why We Love It: Environmentally-friendly production and signature, stylish appeal.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: These may not be supportive for those with high arches.

14. Most Comfortable: Adidas Pharell x Samba Humane Race

When Pharell teams up with an iconic sportswear brand, it’s impossible to say no. These sneakers feel like walking on a cloud and have a sleek design. And while the Samba trend is fading out, these feel unique enough to always make a stylish statement.

Why We Love It: Extremely comfortable.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: These are technically men’s, so best for those with a larger shoe size.

15. Best Classic Style: New Balance 550

Versatile and stylish, these sneakers are perfect for multiple activities. When folks drop the “dad sneaker” moniker, this is what they mean. And yes, that’s a good thing.

Why We Love It: Stylish without being overly trendy.

Cons, but not dealbreakers: Slightly chunky silhouette.

As the temps get hotter and the days get longer, my excitement for peak summer is at an all-time high. Beach days and backyard nights are top of mind, and naturally I’m already dreaming about what I’ll wear to everything on my calendar. While not every season calls for a completely new closet (check out my summer capsule wardrobe), a refresh is always fun. I love shaking things up with summer wardrobe essentials that bridge the gap between timeless and trendy. And no, you don’t have to completely shell out for a fresh look. From sundresses to pearls, we’ve handpicked 20 summer wardrobe essentials to bring new life to your closet this season—all for under $200.

Camille Styles summer wardrobe essentials.

Under $200 Summer Wardrobe Essentials

Whether your summer is full of traveling to new destinations, lounging on the beach, or just enjoying being home, our curation of summer wardrobe essentials has something for everyone—and pieces that do everything, too. You’ll find silk pants that transition from travel to play, sundresses that go from brunch to drinks, and shoes to match it all. Whether your wardrobe needs a complete overhaul or just a few new finds, dive into our complete list of summer wardrobe essentials below.

A.L.V. Jewels Aubrey Pearl Necklace

If you’re going to buy one thing from this list of summer wardrobe essentials, let it be this chunky pearl necklace from ALV Jewels. It automatically elevates the simplest of outfits and adds a seasonal touch to a basic look. I’ve been wearing this necklace nonstop with everything from white t-shirts to sundresses to bikinis, and it’s my most-asked-about item.

COS Raffia Mini Sling Bag

I never feel fully dressed these days without this COS Raffia Bag. I love dressing it up and down depending on where I’m heading, as it goes with everything in my closet. It comes with me to the beach, to the farmer’s market, out to dinner, and everywhere in between. Big enough to fit a book but small enough not to eat my lipgloss, this truly is the perfect summer bag.

Reformation Olina Linen Pant

A must-have in my summer capsule wardrobe, these Reformation linen pants are the best on the market. They are lightweight and breezy, while not being too sheer, and look great with sweaters, button downs, and bikini tops. I also love that they have an adjustable tie waist so I can wear them high-waisted or lower on my hips depending on which look I’m going for. My mom and I both bought a pair of these pants and agree that they’re summer wardrobe essentials for any age.

Le Spec Outta Love Sunglasses

After losing one-too-many pairs of sunglasses last year, I decided that I simply can’t afford to spend more than $100 on sunglasses. Luckily, that does not mean I have to skimp on style because these Le Spec sunnies garner more compliments than my designer pairs. They’ve been dubbed the sisterhood of the traveling sunglasses by my friend group because they quite literally look good on everyone. This chic oval shape comes in plenty of colors, from red to tortoise, so everyone can have their pick.

Free People We The Free Ziggy Denim Overalls

It’s officially white denim season for those who follow the ‘in between Memorial Day and Labor Day’ rule. Though I love a winter white and wear white denim year round, my favorite way to wear white denim in the summer is white denim overalls. A good pair of white overalls, vintage or new, styled with a white tank or tee and a pair of sandals is my go-to effortless outfit during the warmer months. It’s also a great travel outfit, and the overalls double as a beach coverup to throw on over a swimsuit while on vacation.

H&M Printed T-Shirt

Summer is one of my favorite seasons for fashion because you can blame your casual dressing on the heat. A t-shirt and shorts is perfectly acceptable when it’s upwards of 80 degrees outside, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a little fun with it. A graphic tee is always an easy way to add some spice to an outfit and all things fruit-focused are having a moment in 2024. I recently bought this tee from H&M in a size large for an oversized fit and I can already tell it will be one of my most-worn tops of the summer. I styled this shirt with silk pants over the weekend, but am excited to get creative and dress it up with mini skirts and down with denim.

Madewell Greta Ballet Flat

Call me crazy, but there are just certain settings where I feel too exposed in an open-toed pair of sandals. I’ve always battled with risking full-foot exposure in sandals and looking too sporty in sneakers, until I got a pair of woven ballet flats. They are the perfect, summery, close-toed shoes that seem to complete just about every outfit I put on, quickly making their way onto my shortlist of summer wardrobe essentials.

8 Other Reasons Shell Earrings

Don’t underestimate the power of a good pair of earrings. A white t-shirt and jeans can be transformed by a fun, seasonal pair of earrings and these shell huggies are my number one pick. These are obviously a great vacation accessory, but I also love wearing them to the office and out to dinner to bring the summertime vibes with me all season, no matter where I am. I also appreciate that these have a full hoop, so I don’t have to deal with the uncomfortable peg on the back of my ear.

DISSH Oscar Scoop Neck Linen Vest

This DISSH linen vest has been a summer wardrobe essential of mine for going on two years now. I purchased this vest in white for Memorial Day Weekend 2023, and have since bought it in black and worn both upwards of 50 times. It’s the perfect summer top, as it’s as breathable and cool as any tank top, but is much more elevated and chic. As someone who is wary of deep v-necks, I find the scoop neck incredibly flattering and comfortable. I style this vest alone as a top with jeans or its matching linen skirt, and over swimsuits with linen shorts. There are so many ways to style this top that it becomes difficult not to reach for it every single day.

DISSH Syrah White Linen Midi Skirt

The perfect partner to my ride-or-die linen vest, this maxi skirt is a must for anyone investing in summer wardrobe essentials. It looks great worn as a set, but I also style this skirt with a white tee or tank and a sweater over my shoulders for a classic, coastal summer look. The linen is breezy, the silhouette is flattering, and, for all of those concerned about Australian sizing, the shipping is pretty quick and the returns couldn’t be easier!

Havaianas x FARM Rio Banana Tree Flip Flops

I love it when a nostalgic trend comes back into style, and Havaianas flip flops are the shoe of the summer (once again). Strategic collaborations with brands like Farm Rio and Maison Kitsuné brought new life to the classic flip flop brand—plus some major social media buzz. At such an affordable price point and with hundreds of prints and colors to pick from, these are the perfect beach shoes for everyone in the family. Bonus points for laying flat and taking up little-to-no room in a suitcase!

Universal Thread™ Crochet Bucket Hat

Whether you’re motivated by sun protection or fashion, a woven hat is always a good idea for sunny summer days. I love this raffia bucket hat from Target because it has the perfect brim—it covers my entire face—but isn’t too big to wear while laying out. It’s lightweight, affordable, and makes every outfit automatically look and feel more styled. What more could a girl want?

Gap × DÔEN Eyelet Midi Dress

A part of what might be one of this year’s most anticipated fashion collabs, this Gap x DÔEN sundress is the epitome of a summer wardrobe essential. Simple but not basic, and trendy but still timeless, this dress can be styled with just about everything in your closet. It can be dressed up with a pair of heels or down with a pair of sandals, and still look chic barefoot! Plus, everyone will be envious you managed to score such a coveted piece.

Supergoop! Glowscreen

Although not a piece of clothing, I couldn’t write a list of summer wardrobe essentials without including Supergoop! Glowscreen. This product is my number one essential year round, but it really shines in the summertime when I’m not wearing as much makeup. Obviously it provides SPF, but the Glowscreen gives my skin the perfect hint of color and a glow that is to die for. I like to think of it as the finishing touch to any effortless, summer look.

J.Crew Oversized Silk Bandana

I’m a sucker for added detail and consider the concept itself a summer wardrobe essential. I love adding pops of color and seasonal touches to my outfits, and nothing screams summer like lemons. I plan on tying this scarf just about everywhere I can this summer—from my hair to my purse to my neck.

Daily Drills Terry Oversized Crew

I live in this crewneck during those “in-between” moments of summer—post-ocean dip but pre-aperitivos, first thing in the morning but before getting dressed, etc. The towel terry material is so soft and cozy, while still being beachy and cool enough for a summer night. Cute styled as a cover-up, with jeans, or lounging around the house, consider this your one-and-done sweatshirt for summer. It’s also unisex, so watch out because it might become one of your S.O.’s summer wardrobe essentials, too.

Reformation Stella Denim Mini Dress

Canadian tuxedos were all the rage last fall and winter, and the denim craze is here to stay throughout summer. In most parts of the world, jeans and a denim jacket isn’t a practical summer outfit, so this Reformation dress is the perfect way to stay on trend in the heat. I’d style this dress with a simple pair of sandals and a raffia bag, or high socks with sneakers and a vintage baseball cap. Whatever accessories you choose to add (even if it’s none), this dress is a summer wardrobe essential all on its own.

DONNI. Silky Simple Pants

I’m actively wearing these pants as I am writing this, so believe me when I say I feel like I’m in pajamas but look like I’m dressed to the nines. DONNI has officially cracked the code when it comes to looking chic while feeling cozy, and I recommend investing in these pants to wear to the office, on a plane, at home, and everywhere in between. At the moment, I’m styling these pants with a tee and an oversized sweater, but they’ll look just as great with a going-out top and a pair of heels later.

Madewell Split-Crewneck Cardigan Tank in Stripe

I live in cardigans during the fall and winter and am obsessing over this summer substitute from Madewell. I’m also into stripes at the moment and love the nautical, coastal-grandmother vibes of the navy and white. I’m adding this to my cart and plan to style it with the Reformation linen pants and the DISSH linen skirt linked above.

Gap Organic Cotton Big Shirt

No roundup of summer wardrobe essentials is complete without a solid, oversized white button-down. This can be worn under white overalls, over a sundress, tucked into jeans, with a swimsuit—the list goes on. I love spicing up a button-down with fun pearls and earrings to bring pops of color to the white shirt, but honestly, sometimes less is more and a pair of gold hoops does the job. You really can’t go wrong, so just have some fun with it.

Over the years, I’ve learned a few secrets to a happy life. Takeaways include: Proceed with kindness. Prioritize simplicity. And the kicker—never check your luggage. Sometimes it’s impossible, but when I have the opportunity, being a “carry-on only” girl streamlines every trip. Because I’ve dubbed this the summer of adventure and play, I’m not overcomplicating anything—my travel capsule wardrobe, included.

I’ve been to Japan, Mexico, Joshua Tree, and countless other destinations with just a carry-on in tow. The key is to pack multi-use items that can be worn for various occasions and styled in creative ways. By doing that, you ensure every piece can be worn multiple times. That’s right, we’re only making space for clothes that do the most. For that, I always look to my friends at Haven Well Within. The brand is my go-to for pieces that are effortless but elevated—perfecting a laidback but thoughtfully put-together look. Their Summertime Shop is a well-curated edit of all the breezy, lightweight fabrics and summer-inspired colors I love wearing this time of year.

Read on for my styling tips and all my favorite Haven Well Within pieces I’m adding to my travel capsule wardrobe this summer.

How I Plan My Summer Travel Capsule Wardrobe

I should be clear: while I’ll carve out space for some sightseeing, the main goal of my summer travels is to rest and recharge. As such, I’ve intentionally aligned the ethos of my travel capsule wardrobe. I’m leaning into a handful of my favorite, versatile items that can be mixed and matched. The result? Gorgeous vacation outfits that help me feel my best and keep decision-making to a minimum. By keeping my options pared back, I can focus on relaxing instead of stressing about what I’m going to wear.

May through August, there’s also a sense of the world opening and coming to life all around us. It’s a balance of making the most of these longer days while still leaning into moments of quiet and stillness. For me, while on vacation, that looks like a full embrace of all summer has to offer. I’m packing outfits that let me prioritize my well-being (yoga, walks, etc.) and enjoying apéritifs on the patio and plenty of dinners al fresco. Essentially, I want to feel good from the inside out—and these travel capsule wardrobe pieces from Haven Well Within help me do exactly that.

Check the Weather

Before you do anything, this is an absolute must. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been burned thinking I’ll head somewhere and assuming it’ll be mid-80s and sunny. Learn from my mistake: check your weather app a few days in advance to see what the weather’s doing at your destination. Because this is the summer, obviously you won’t need to bring your heaviest jacket. But anticipate chillier evenings that call for a sweater or wrap. I like to bring at least one layering piece that I’ll wear on the plane. (I can’t be the only one who’s always freezing while flying!)

Define Your Vibe

A travel capsule wardrobe shouldn’t just make sense from a practical standpoint—your clothes should also express a vibe. Before curating anything, I like to focus on a few words that define the energy and aesthetic of my wardrobe. Because my trip itinerary is from Ibiza to Provence to Paris, I’m aiming for a Mediterranean-inspired, European summer feel. (Effortless, but elevated.) That translates to easy layers, flowy fabrics, and pieces that do well with or without accessories.

Along with this, I also like to create a color story. Because we’re aiming for pieces that mix and match well, you want to incorporate just a few colors into the mix. Here, I opted for creamy whites, natural linen, darker accents, and just a few prints. That way, I have plenty of neutrals to work with while also creating enough interest in each outfit choice.

Plan Your Outfits

Maybe this seems obvious, but you want to ensure in advance that you’ll actually wear what you’re bringing. Try on individual pieces to confirm that you have enough outfit options for the length of your stay. Snap mirror selfies for every outfit so you have a plan to refer back to. This prevents you from overpacking, as you’ll know to bring only what’s included in your outfit formulas.

Choose Your Accessories Wisely

When you’re tight on packing space, you need to make your accessories work for you. That means no teeny-tiny bags that can only fit a credit card—I’m opting for purses, shoes, and sunglasses that I’ll pair with every outfit. Raffia is a perfect material to lean on as it’s both trendy and timeless, giving all your fits a distinct summer feel. I’ll carry the Raffia Market Bag to the beach, meals out, and of course, for every farmer’s market haul (it’s Europe, you know there’ll be plenty). I also love a flat sandal that’s comfy but still special enough to slide on for an evening out. And lastly, sunnies add an instant element of chicness to your look, without taking up hardly any space in your personal item.

Prioritize Season-Specific Fabrics

Summer is not the time to pull out your best cashmere (though a cashmere wrap can come in handy for colder nights). Instead, look for summer-appropriate fabrics and materials that you can easily throw on. Right now, I’m loving gauze, French terry, and linen. Not only does the look scream summer, but they’re light enough to keep you from overheating under the hot summer sun. And… they also layer well. So when you do need a little more warmth, you’re covered.

Travel capsule wardrobe accessories.

Follow the Two-Shoe Rule

This is a hill I will happily die on. Because we’re opting for lighter fabrics, your shoes will inevitably take up the most space in your suitcase. Minimize the issue by packing only two pairs. I like a pair of strappy slides that I can easily dress up or down and a bonus shoe (either a sneaker, boot, or whatever you need for additional activities and events). Then, I’ll wear my Common Projects sneakers on the flight. They double as my casual shoe while still being comfortable enough to wear for several hours in the air.

Be Ruthless With Your Skincare

We’ve exclusively chatted clothes up until this point, but if you’re like me, you’ll be tempted to pack your entire medicine cabinet into your carry-on. A word to the wise: don’t. I separate my skincare and makeup into two bags, my Beis cosmetic case for the former and a smaller waterproof bag for my makeup. From there, I make sure I’m packing only what I’ll use every day (and I’m following Gen Z’s cue and prioritizing multifunctional makeup). For more makeup and skincare packing tips, our beauty editor shares her tried-and-true strategy.

I love any excuse to get dressed up. Maybe it’s just me, but one of the first thoughts that runs through my head when I receive any sort of invite is “what am I going to wear?” And while a new outfit is obviously not necessary for every event, it can make things a little more fun. We’re quickly entering peak wedding season and searching for a perfect summer wedding guest dress is officially top of mind.

How to Find the Best Summer Wedding Guest Dress

However, sometimes shopping for a summer wedding guest dress can be stressful—especially when the dress code leaves you in the dark. Between navigating the unspoken rules and trying to make a statement without outshining the bride, finding a summer wedding guest dress is almost as hard as finding a wedding date.

But don’t stress! If you’re attending a wedding this summer and have no clue what to wear, we’ve broken down every wedding dress code below, complete with shopping recommendations so you can find your perfect summer wedding guest dress with ease.

summer wedding guest dress

Black Tie Summer Wedding Guest Dresses

Black tie attire requires a long, formal, floor-length gown. When shopping for a black tie summer wedding guest dress, look for an elegant, sophisticated dress that still accounts for the season’s heat. Breathable fabrics such as chiffon, silk, and lightweight satin are a safe choice in material, while flowy, A-line silhouettes will keep you comfortable.

Black tie dresses are typically found in black, navy, and other deep jewel tones, but for a summer wedding I’d opt for a bright color or floral pattern to embrace the time of year. While your accessories should still be formal, a pearl necklace or shell-shaped clutch can help bring the summer vibes to your formal look.

Formal (Black Tie Optional) Summer Wedding Guest Dresses

If you’re attending a formal or black tie optional wedding this summer, there’s a bit more flexibility in the dress code compared to a true black tie wedding, but the goal is still to find a balance between style and sophistication. When it comes to dress length, you’ll see everything from full length to dressy cocktail, so choose a style that you feel most comfortable and confident in. Just be sure that if you opt for a short dress that it’s still formal and appropriate for the occasion.

A colorful pantsuit is also a playful twist on a formal summer wedding guest dress. I love a tea-length dress so I can show off a fun, fancy pair of heels. (Even though I always end up kicking them off about an hour into the reception!)

Cocktail Summer Wedding Guest Dresses

Cocktail attire is one of the most popular choices for modern weddings, as it’s a happy medium between formal and comfortable. Dressy mini and midi dresses become appropriate, and wedding guests can have a bit more fun with their looks. Summer cocktail weddings are the perfect occasion for a fun floral dress, as the shorter hemline lends to just the right amount of pattern. Accessories also have their time to shine with a cocktail dress, so choose a comfortable, yet stylish pair of heels and a matching clutch to bring the look full circle. A raffia or straw embellished clutch is a perfect way to add a summery flare to a cocktail summer wedding guest dress.

Semi-Formal Summer Wedding Guest Dresses

Semi-formal attire is one of those gray areas that can make shopping for a summer wedding guest dress feel impossible. It’s slightly less formal than cocktail attire, but still isn’t casual, so my number one tip is to base your outfit off of the time and place of the wedding itself. For example, if a semi-formal wedding is happening on the beach during the day, a slip dress with formal flats and lots of pearls fits the bill. However, if a semi-formal wedding is happening downtown at sunset, a midi dress with heels and sparkly jewelry might feel more appropriate.

You have some wiggle room here, but instead of letting that stress you out, have fun with it! When in doubt, I always feel like it’s better to be overdressed than underdressed, so I tend to err on the fancier side.

Casual Summer Wedding Guest Dresses

Summer weddings with casual attire are most likely taking place outside or on the beach, so your outfit can be a bit more relaxed. However, don’t forget that a wedding is still a wedding, so “casual” doesn’t mean anything goes. Linen sundresses, floral jumpsuits, and matching sets are all comfortable, but still suitable options for this kind of summer wedding guest dress.

Now is also the time to think about where you’ll be walking and base your shoe choice on that. If you’ll be on the sand, opt for flats or heels that are easy to kick off, and if you’re going to be on grass, make sure that your heel is thick enough not to sink into the ground.

Destination Summer Wedding Guest Dresses

When shopping for a destination summer wedding guest dress, I like to let the destination inspire my outfit. Without getting too costume-y it’s fun to infuse little bits of your surroundings into your wedding looks, because the location obviously means a lot to the happy couple and chances are, the vibes of the destination will be carried throughout most of the wedding details. If a specific dress code isn’t mentioned for a destination wedding, don’t get too caught up in the length or material of your dress, but when in doubt bling it out with accessories.

When you’re traveling for a wedding, it’s also important to take into account dresses that fit nicely into a suitcase without wrinkling too terribly. If you’re worried, just call ahead to the hotel to make sure they have a steamer and/or come prepared with some Downy Wrinkle Release Spray!

Summer is (finally!) here, and I’ve spent the last couple of weeks transitioning my closet for the new season. What started as a cleanout and reorganization mission evolved into a thoughtful evaluation of everything I own—and what holes needed to be filled. With limited storage space, it became clear that every piece I purchased needed to be multi-wear, functional, and a true ten-out-of-ten. Working in fashion, it can also be tempting to overconsume, so I’ve realigned my priorities to build a summer capsule wardrobe that puts quality over quantity.

After a huge purge, the coats and boots have made their way to the back of the closet, and I’ve built a 10-piece summer capsule wardrobe full of linen, wovens, and sandals that has taken center stage. I think I’ve finally cracked the code to effortlessly chic summer dressing. The secret? Less truly is more.

The Summer Capsule Wardrobe Checklist

Find out exactly what you need for your summer capsule wardrobe below, and allow your closet to work smarter, not harder in summer 2024.

 1. Simple Sundress
 2. Lightweight Top
 3. Breezy Bottom
 4. Non-Denim Shorts & Skirt
 5. Layering Tee & Tank
 6. White Denim
 7. Everyday Sunglasses
 8. Summery Sandals
 9. Seasonal Straw Bag
 10. Protective Sun Hat

Simple Sundress

For all of the minimalists out there, a solid sundress can be a summer capsule wardrobe in and of itself. A sundress is a one-and-done outfit, is easy to pack on vacation, and keeps you cool while looking effortless. This summer, I’m looking for midi-to-full length sundresses that I can pair with sandals, sneakers, or heels, depending on where I’m headed. I love styling summer sundresses with a statement belt and a thin knit draped over my shoulders to add a bit of depth to the look.

Lightweight Tops

I grew up in Texas, and one of the most difficult things about summer shopping is finding tops that are breathable enough to wear in peak heat. Even though I now live in Los Angeles, I still gravitate toward sleeveless vests, breezy button-downs, and girly blouses that don’t leave me in a puddle of sweat.

Brands like DOEN, Reformation, and The Great have lots of lightweight and flowy tops that I love to style with denim, linen, and silk all summer long. My favorite top in my summer capsule wardrobe is my linen vest from DISSH, as it’s as cool as a tank top, but feels a little more styled and chic.

Breezy Bottoms

Although I still wear jeans all year round, I’ve been looking to expand my selection of pants with linen and silk pairs for summer. I’ve found that these airy alternatives are not only more comfortable and breathable but exude the laid-back energy that I’m trying to channel this year. (Plus, nothing is worse than a tight pair of jeans on a summer sunburn.) Investing in a trusty pair of white linen pants will be the best thing you can do for yourself this summer. This is the definition of working smarter, not harder—these pants will match every top in your closet.

Non-Denim Shorts & Skirts

While there is nothing wrong with denim shorts and skirts, I personally find them uncomfortable. I know that might be a hot take, but I don’t think I’ve worn my denim shorts in over a year. Instead, I gravitate toward flowy shorts and skirts that aren’t too short or too tight. I find that the more a-line shape a pair of shorts or a skirt has, the more flattering they are on the leg. This year, I’m filling this slot in my summer capsule wardrobe with longer, more tailored shorts and full-length linen skirts.

Layering Tees & Tanks

Every good summer capsule wardrobe starts with one-to-two layering bases. My requirements for layering tees and tanks are that they are long enough to tuck in, are not too tight around my arms, and are thick enough not to show my bra underneath. Once you find a good white or black tee/tank, the outfit possibilities are endless. If you’re looking for a foolproof summer outfit formula, pair one of these white tanks or tees with linen pants, a comfy sandal, a sweater draped over your shoulders, and a raffia bag. Sometimes, simpler is simply better.

White Denim

One of my favorite summer style trends is an all-white look. I’m a sucker for white jeans and a white top with a pop-of-color shoe and bag, so finding a reliable pair of white denim jeans is essential for my summer capsule wardrobe. You can’t go wrong with any cut of white denim, as this is a classic trend that will never go out of style. White denim overalls are also a great summer purchase to style over a white tee or a bikini at the beach. Bonus points for rewearing these pieces into fall and winter—we love a winter white!

Summery Sandals

Summer is the season of sandals, so say goodbye to your favorite boots and hello to biweekly pedicures! Whether you lean toward basic dad sandals or sexy strappy numbers, your choice in sandal should be neutral, comfortable, and durable. It’s easy to be woo-ed by trendy shoes, but a true summer capsule wardrobe sandal is timeless and versatile enough to pair with every item on this list. I look for sandals that are easy to slip on and off for beach days and grassy picnics, and lay flat in a suitcase for all of my summer adventures.

Seasonal Straw Bags

Perhaps my favorite part about summer rolling around is dusting off my woven raffia and straw bags to style all season long. Though this material will be forever reminiscent of my mom’s beach bag growing up, I love that designers have been using raffia in more modern, structured designs, giving the look a laid-back but still trendy feel. Plus, straw is a neutral, so it will match and add a seasonal flare to every outfit you create with this summer capsule wardrobe. From the farmer’s market to the beach and out to dinner, these bags can truly do (and hold) it all.

Protective Sun Hats

When I envision summer chicness, every look is topped off with the perfect floppy sun hat. There’s just something so opulent about a big hat and dark sunglasses that takes a basic summer outfit from simple to sexy. It’s also as functional as it is fashionable, protecting your skin during the sunny days ahead. I’m on the hunt for the perfect neutral raffia sun hat to wear at the beach with bikinis, on long walks in activewear, and everywhere in between. If a full-brim hat isn’t your style, a classic baseball hat adds a cool-girl touch to the summer capsule wardrobe while still covering your face, too.

Everyday Sunglasses

I like to think of sunglasses as the cherry on top of a summer capsule wardrobe: not entirely essential, but a small finishing touch that goes a long way. I went through a phase of purchasing multiple trendy, colorful sunglasses, but after having to pack four pairs of glasses for a three-day trip, I finally said enough is enough and found a well-fitting, neutral pair that goes with everything. Sunglasses also have a tendency to get left on the dinner table or swept into the ocean, so don’t feel like you have to spend a pretty penny on this element of your summer capsule wardrobe. A designer pair of sunglasses is always a fun splurge, but more affordable pairs earn just as many compliments minus the price tag.

Blame Zendaya. As a child of the 90s, I’m here for just about every trend resurgence (minus low-rise pants.) But as a person who has never picked up a racket, the tennis fashion trend—or, tenniscore—just wasn’t for me. Until Zendaya. The undeniable style icon recently epitomized the trend on the red carpet with stylist Law Roach to promote her movie Challengers, showcasing outfits that seamlessly blend athleticism with glamour. You could not look away.

How To Style the Tennis Fashion Trend

The tennis fashion trend has made a dramatic resurgence in recent years, largely fueled by the nostalgia for 90s trends and a few key celebrity endorsements that have thrust the sporty chic aesthetic back into the limelight. (Not to mention the pickleball craze.) But good news for us norms, this resurgence isn’t just about looking good on the tennis court—it’s about incorporating those clean lines, crisp whites, and functional beauty into everyday wear.

We can’t all be Zendya on the red carpet, but we can look real cute integrating the trend into a casual wardrobe that serves both style and comfort. Read on for eight easy-to-wear pieces that capture the tennis fashion trend perfectly—call ’em a grand slam.

The Pleated Tennis Skirt

A staple of the tennis world, pleated skirts have crossed over as a fashion favorite. Opt for a high-waisted, mini, or midi version in classic white—or go bold with fun colors.

How to Style: Pair it with a tucked-in graphic tee and sneakers for a casual, sporty look.

A Classic Polo Shirt

The classic polo shirt is an enduring symbol in both tennis fashion and casual wear. It was introduced by the French tennis icon René Lacoste in the late 1920s, but it’s made a lasting impression thanks to its cool blend of sporty vibes and laid-back chic. Wear it on the court—or out for coffee.

How to Style: Pair it with a tennis skirt for the obvious look. Or pull on slouchy jeans and a braided belt for a more relaxed vibe.

Sporty Sneakers

White sneakers are the cornerstone of tennis fashion. They’re easy to wear and truly never go out of style. The fun part is choosing a new pair. Chunky soles? Slim design? Color pop? It all works.

How to Style: Wear with anything from dresses to denim for a comfortable, all-day vibe. Pair with a slouchy, frilled, or colored sock for a more styled look.

HOKA® Bondi 8 Sneakers

Varsity Cardigan or Sweater

Varsity jackets, sweaters, and cardigans capture that cool, collegiate vibe that tennis fashion is known for, mixing a classic preppy look with sporty practicality.

How to Style: Layer over a crop top and high-waisted jeans for an effortless ensemble.

Sun Visor

You know this one. It’s the accessory seen across many a theme park back in the day. The 90s-style accessory is perfect for sunny days—and cool looks.

How to Style: It’s all about the hair. Try it with a high pony or big, voluminous curls.

Track Pants

A big welcome back to the track pants that defined my junior high school years. They’re comfortable and trending—and that side stripe is a classic.

How to Style: Put a more modern spin on these babies with a cropped tee and white sneakers.

Athletic Dresses

The athletic dress has been making waves for a few years, but this one-piece look is one of the easiest ways to add tennis-inspired style to your wardrobe. They’re everything we love: both functional and fashionable.

How to Style: Accessorize with a denim jacket and statement sneakers for an easy day out.

Retro 90s-Inspired Sunglasses

No tennis-inspired look is compete without sunnies. Think bold, geometric shapes that are typical of the 90s era.

How to Style: Pop ’em on and go. Perfect for adding an air of mystery (and also, practicality) to any sporty look.

From the spring wildflowers to the SS24 runways, the butter yellow trend is everywhere right now, and I’m absolutely loving it. Maybe it’s because I associate the shade of yellow with my childhood bedroom, smiley faces, and sunshine, but the color makes me inexplicably happy. Now that designers are bringing brightness to their collections with the color, I get a little serotonin boost every time I walk past a storefront or open my Instagram. Remember how red took over fashion last fall? Well the butter yellow trend is on the same trajectory. And thank goodness! This color might just be your new wardrobe bread and butter.

Featured image from our interview with Mary Ralph Bradley.

Woman standing in field with butter yellow flowers.

It’s no surprise that butter yellow is having a moment—the color itself naturally screams spring. Not only is the hue representative of happiness but it exudes a soothing, gentle aura, making butter yellow a versatile choice for fabrics like silk, linen, denim, and even leather goods.

While some might shy away from yellow as too bold a choice, the butter yellow trend is subdued, approachable, and easy to style. It’s the perfect balance between adding color to an outfit without being too overpowering. Don’t be afraid to invest in some butter yellow pieces—I have a feeling yellow knits and leathers will melt into fall and winter.

The butter yellow trend is subdued, approachable, and easy to style.

How to Style the Butter Yellow Trend

Styling the butter yellow trend becomes easy when you realize it’s essentially a warmer version of an off-white. The mellow yellow is basically a neutral, so it’ll pair well with whites, denims, and even blues and greens.

But the real key to styling butter yellow is to have fun with it! Wear the color in ways that will make you smile and feel confident without pushing you too far out of your comfort zone. Start small with a butter yellow bag or pair of shoes, and then eventually butter yourself to try a full monochrome look. I think you’ll find this shade of yellow is about as addicting as its namesake.

Butter Yellow Dresses

The easiest way to quickly hop on the butter yellow trend is to style a butter yellow dress. They’re easy to throw on, pair well with white or brown sandals, and can be dressed up or down. Plus, dresses are a one-and-done outfit, so if you’re someone who struggles to put an entire outfit together, butter yellow dresses will be your best friend this spring and summer.

Butter Yellow Tops

Nine times out of ten, I feel like a top is the first thing I notice about an outfit, making butter yellow tops essential to nailing this trend. The beauty of butter yellow tops is that they’ll probably go with almost every bottom you already have in your closet. From blue jeans to white linen pants to floral skirts, opting for a butter yellow top will automatically brighten up your look without being too hard to style. I love balancing a colored top with a matching pair of shoes. (But we’ll get to that later.)

Butter Yellow Bottoms

Butter yellow skirts, pants, and shorts will effortlessly elevate your favorite white tee or tank this season. I’m constantly gravitating toward my butter yellow silk skirt and am looking to add some butter yellow denim and/or linen pants into my rotation soon. With just one trusty white top and a selection of butter yellow bottoms, you can easily create multiple fresh, on-trend looks.

Butter Yellow Bags

If you like to stick to a more neutral uniform, adding a butter yellow bag to your collection is an easy, low-lift way to try out the butter yellow trend. Accessorizing with fun handbag trends has always been my favorite way to inject personality into an outfit. A solid white or black outfit can instantly come to life with the addition of a vibrant, colorful bag. A butter yellow bag will brighten up any summer outfit, and affordable options make taking this route a no-brainer.

Butter Yellow Shoes

I might have saved the best for last, because butter yellow shoes are everything to me at the moment. Now that the butter yellow trend is taking off, my favorite pairs of shoes have now been released in the shade. I’ve always been a sucker for shoes, but make them in my favorite color, and I’m a goner.

I love pairing butter yellow shoes with a matching top or bag or rounding out a completely monochrome look. You’ll be shocked at how much they go with everything in your closet. Warning: you’ll actively have to tell yourself not to wear them every day!

With sunny days ahead, my fashion wishlist is full of summer essentials, with a few new swimsuits occupying the number one slot. Bikinis and one-pieces dominate my early-season shopping list. Before I even consider sundresses or shorts, a few days soaking up the sun in a bikini are essential for my pale skin. Plus, there’s something about narrowing down the best swimwear brands that sets the tone for the whole season.

However, in the age of online shopping, the quest for the perfect bikini is made that much harder. It often leaves me drowning in the deep end of google searches and social media scrolls trying to find out how a swimsuit will actually fit, feel, and look. Between trends, sizing, and pricing, there’s a lot to navigate. And don’t get me started on the struggle of finding swimwear that actually instills confidence. (I’m talking about the inevitable worry about your suit being see-through or not supportive enough.)

The Best Swimwear Brands to Shop Summer 2024

For me personally, I struggle with finding suits that are supportive for my larger chest and still feel young and youthful. Of course, there’s also the added factor of the suit also being too modest or too showy. My list of requirements in a bikini is about as picky as my one-year-old niece’s eating habits, so you can trust I’ve done my research. I’ve rounded up the best swimwear brands that’ll have you ditching the cover-up and heading for the beach. Let’s dive in!

Best Accessories: Monday Swimwear

As someone who is blessed/cursed with a larger chest, it can often feel difficult to find fashionable swimsuits that fit well. After years of purchasing XL bikini tops and paying for alterations, I discovered Monday Swimwear—and never looked back. Their swimwear is not only high-quality and on-trend, but is also offered in an inclusive size range, with adjustable tie fits and larger cup options. I’m also a sucker for a matching set and love that Monday has a full run of matching accessories, from sarongs to beach bags.

Best Supportive Sizing: Hunza G

Marketed as “The Original Crinkle,” Hunza G is essentially the sisterhood of the traveling swimsuits. All of their bikinis and one-pieces are one-size-fits-all. I know: sounds impossible, but can only be explained by pixie dust being woven into their fabrics. The ultra-stretch fit is simultaneously supportive, comfortable, and effortless, looking good on everyone I know. With no need to sweat oversize options, Hunza G is one of the easiest and best swimwear brands to shop online. Major bonus points for also being sold as a set.

Best Sustainable: ANEMOS

I was only recently introduced to ANEMOS, and the brand has quickly made its way onto my short list of the best swimwear brands. ANEMOS is an LA-based apparel and swimwear destination with a focus on sustainability and minimalism. Their pieces are gorgeous and timeless, but what really sets the brand apart is that all of their fabrics are sustainable and their packaging is 100% compostable. I wore their bikinis all throughout my recent trip to Cabo and can attest to their flattering fits and rich colorways.

Best Underwire: Onia

While Onia offers more than just swim, they are most well-known for elevated, detailed swimwear pieces. Combining great fit and form, you can trust that anything you purchase from Onia will be supportive, well-made, and, obviously, stunning. I’m personally obsessed with their underwire bikini and one-piece styles. They are fashionable and functional—and no, the underwire doesn’t dig into your skin!

Most On Trend: Montce

Montce is one of those brands that you can tell is high quality just by looking at their pieces. Their swimwear has an effortless appearance, while still being fashion forward, on-trend, and fit-focused. They recently released a collection in collaboration with Olivia Culpo, and I’m quite literally drooling over the feminine black and white look. Plus, the brand has been spotted on Taylor Swift, so it’s gotta be among the best swimwear brands.

Best Prints and Patterns: Agua Bendita

If you’re in the market for beautifully crafted swimwear with unique patterns, look no further than Agua Bendita. Each swimsuit is handmade by female Colombian artisans, a lot of whom are stay-at-home moms, and the passion that they infuse into their work is clear. Even if patterns aren’t for you, their solid swimwear is still top-notch and unlike anything else on the market. Another reason why Agua Bendita is one of the best swimwear brands? They have a kids swimwear line, so you can match with your littles on vacation!

Best True-to-Size Fit: CUUP

When swimwear is made by an intimatewear company, you can trust that it will fit well, and CUUP is the perfect example. Their tag line is “We support you,” and after trying their swim, I support them. The minimal designs make these suits suitable for all ages and anyone that puts fit first. Not sure what size to get? Take their size test for an accurate recommendation!

Best Timeless Styles: Solid & Striped

You may know Solid & Striped from their recent collaboration with Sofia Richie, but my obsession with the brand started a few years ago when I tried on a bikini in their New York storefront. Their swim collection has the ideal balance of trendy and timeless styles, and feels simultaneously elevated and youthful. While Sofia Richie may draw you in, it’s the swimwear that will keep you coming back for more, mark my words.

I undeniably suffer from fashion FOMO. If something is trending online, it sets up camp at the forefront of my mind and refuses to leave until it’s in my closet. The allure of trying out the latest fashion craze is irresistible. I can’t help but wonder how a particular trend would look on me, how it would fit into my style, and whether or not it actually lives up to the hype. This often leads me down a rabbit hole of online research, scouring TikTok reviews, and scrolling through countless Pinterest photos for inspiration. Whether it’s a pair of $500 jeans or a designer dupe, I’m always eager to know if a trend is truly deserving of the attention and worthy of the price tag.

But let’s face it, not everything that’s making waves in the fashion world is practical or even remotely realistic for everyday wear. That’s why I’ve taken it upon myself to try out the top 10 trending fashion items of 2024 thus far, and separate the gems from the gimmicks. From statement pieces to subtle wardrobe staples, I’ve tried them all so you don’t have to. Consider this your insider’s guide to navigating the ever-changing landscape of fashion trends, ensuring that your next purchase is not only on-trend but also worth every penny.

So, if you’re ready to satisfy your curiosity without sacrificing your savings, read on to see the 2024 trending fashion items reviewed and find out what’s truly worth adding to your closet.

KHAITE Danielle Jeans

2024 Trend: Designer Denim

I’m on the hunt for the perfect pair of denim, so when the Khaite Danielle Jeans caught fire on social media, I knew I had to try them out for myself. However, it took me a bit to even hit the add to cart button because… they’re $480, which feels wild for denim, even though it is designer. So, in the name of research, I bit the bullet, and when they arrived, I practically had the jeans on my body before the UPS delivery man was down my front steps.

For the price, I was expecting to look in the mirror and see a supermodel staring back at me, but to be completely honest I just saw myself in a solid pair of jeans. They fit well and felt super high-quality, but I just couldn’t justify the price when my Abercrombie and AGOLDE jeans look just as good. Plus, being 5’4”, they were way too long on me. Unless you’re tall or willing to get them hemmed, they might not be the best fit. If you’re into splurging on designer denim, go for it, but there are plenty of other options out there that won’t break the bank.

Some other good options:

Adidas Sambas

2024 Trend: Sporty Sneakers

I bought a pair of red and white Adidas Sambas a few months ago and while they have definitely been one of my most-worn sneakers, I’m not sure I’d recommend purchasing a pair today. I love the look of them, but they’ve just become too widespread and are on their way out of style in my opinion. Plus, they aren’t the most comfortable sneaker. After a few hours of walking, the soles of my feet definitely ache.

If you are in the market for Sambas but want to try something new, the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 sneakers are at the top of my wishlist. Or, if you’re set on Sambas, opt for a more unique colorway, even though you’ll most likely have to deal with a retailer’s surcharge for these.

Some other good options:

Jenni Kayne Cooper Cardigan

2024 Trend: Corpcore

The Jenni Kayne Cooper Cardigan is proof that if you see something enough, it becomes all you can think about. This cardigan was the #1 advertisement that my Instagram algorithm served me for weeks on end, and when I decided to review the top 2024 trending items in fashion, I knew it was a sign to finally make it mine.

As advertised, the Cooper Cardigan features a very flattering and structured hourglass shape, which you’d never expect from a typical sweater. It’s simultaneously unique and timeless—a combo that is difficult to achieve these days. The wool cashmere blend is thick, warm, and most importantly, itch-free. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found an amazing sweater only for it to feel like it gave me a case of the chicken pocks, but the Cooper Cardigan is so soft, I want to curl up and sleep with it. Retailing for $525, this sweater is definitely an investment piece, but if you take care of it, it’ll be something you’ll have forever.

Some other good options:

Dorsey Tennis Necklace

2024 Trend: Elegant, Everyday Jewelry

All of my favorite influencers, like Courtney Grow and Lilly Sisto, wear and love Dorsey jewelry, so even before this order arrived, I knew I was going to love it. If you’re unfamiliar with the brand, Dorsey creates “elegant jewelry for everyday wear,” and is most well-known for their lab-grown sapphire tennis necklaces and bracelets, which have the look of real diamonds at a more affordable price point. My personal favorite piece is the James Bezel Riviére Necklace, but I ordered the bracelet version to get a feel for the product, and it’s honestly perfect.

I have two other tennis bracelets made with real diamonds, and the Dorsey bracelet looks virtually identical, completing my wrist stack for a quarter of the price. I have heard a few reports of some gold chipping off after time, but in my opinion, jewelry is meant to be lived in, and the chips show character. These pieces also make great gifts for spoiling your loved ones on a budget! In the words of Benjamin Barry in How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days, I’m always looking to “frost myself,” so Dorsey is my new favorite discovery.

Some other good options:

Alaïa Ballerina Flats

2024 Trend: Mesh Ballet Flats

Luxury fashion house Alaïa took the ballet flat trend one step further with uniquely shaped studded and mesh renditions—AKA the cool-girl-shoe dominating my social media feeds. It seems like every chic creator that I follow on social media owns a version of this shoe, so, eager to join in, I headed to Saks Fifth Avenue to try them for myself.

Unfortunately, my curiosity was met by a smug sales associate informing me that their stock flew off the shelves, and all they had left was a singular size 8. Wanting to at least get a sense for the shoe, I pulled the strap as tight as it could go and did a loop around the shoe floor. Despite the exquisite leather and stunning studs, they didn’t offer much more than the H&M pair I was wearing that day. With budget-friendly alternatives flooding the market, splurging on these is not a must to stay on trend. For those considering designer ballet flats, classics from Chanel or Prada might be a wiser investment.

Some other good options:

DISSH Linen Set

2024 Trend: Linen Matching Sets

If you’re trying to figure out where you recognize the name DISSH, it’s probably because their beautiful advertisements have graced your Instagram feed a time or two. I’m a sucker for an Instagram ad, but am always wary about the accuracy of the ad and the quality of the item, so the first time that I ordered from DISSH, I was blown away.

Their coordinating linen sets surpassed all of my expectations and are just about the only thing I want to wear. The linen is thick and structured, while still comfortable and breathable, making these sets the perfect summer uniform. Plus, the pricing is pretty hard to beat. My love for this brand tripled when I visited their retail store in Bondi, Australia and got to experience their other products in person for the first time. So, the next time you see DISSH on your Instagram feed, don’t even hesitate. These sets are 100% worth the hype and make summer dressing simple. I’ll be a customer for life.

Some other good options:

Heaven Mayhem Earrings

2024 Trend: 80s-Style Jewelry

Founded by influencer Pia Mance, Heaven Mayhem gained virality this year for the 80s-inspired, vintage-looking earrings that grace the ears of every fashionable person I follow. While I wear most of my jewelry all day every day, I love to swap out my earrings for a statement pair, so Heaven Mayhem was at the top of my list to try.

I ordered the two-tone Mini Double Knot Earrings because I’ve been wanting to incorporate more silver metals into my collection, and these have been my most-worn earrings of 2024 by far. The design is hollow, so they aren’t too heavy, and they have yet to irritate my semi-sensitive ears. They complete every outfit and give me that coveted I-dug-through-trays-at-a-thrift-store look without the effort of the hunt. The brand also offers trendy belts that are most definitely on my list to try next.

Some other good options:

House of CB Samaria Corset Drop Waist Dress

2024 Trend: Drop-Waist Dresses

Before you judge this dress from the product page, I encourage you to watch this TikTok of Sara Walker. Her original video went viral and this dress was dubbed the perfect wedding guest dress. Featuring a super flattering and on-trend drop-waist silhouette at an affordable price point, I obviously had to see if this dress lived up to the buzz.

To preface my review, I was blessed/cursed with a larger chest. I was excited to see that House of CB offers different cup sizes for the bodice of the dress, and while the dress technically fit me, I’m not sure that I’d feel comfortable wearing it to a wedding if you know what I mean. However, I’ve had multiple friends wear this dress and look drop dead gorgeous, so it’s definitely worth a try. I loved the style and ended up purchasing a similar dress from Staud that passed the chest test and helped scratch the itch for this trend.

Some other good options:

Anthropologie Brigitte Satchel by Melie Bianco

2024 Trend: Hobo Bags

It’s pretty rare when a dupe gains more traction than the original, but because of the price, this Melie Bianco purse flew off the shelves after the first launch and onto the shoulders of just about everyone I know. Inspired by the design of the Bottega Jodie bag, The Brigitte Satchel by Melie Bianco is a high-quality, well-made bag, without the designer upcharge.

The Intrecciato is very comparable to a legit Bottega bag, as well, with the primary difference between the two bags being that the Melie Bianco version is not as sturdy—but I almost prefer the slouchiness! Plus, the best thing about a lower-priced bag is that you can opt for a fun color, rather than stressing out over choosing a classic color that you won’t grow tired of. It also comes in three sizes: mini, midsize, and oversized (the oversized would be a super chic work bag!). If you’ve been wanting to hop on the Hobo bag trend, this is a great budget-friendly option with an even better cost-per-wear, as it’ll become your new go-to catch-all bag.

Some other good options:

Tiffany Elsa Peretti® Small Bone Cuff

2024 Trend: Silver Jewelry

Silver jewelry is having a resurgence in 2024, and arguably the most popular piece of silver jewelry right now is the Elsa Peretti Small Bone Cuff from Tiffany & Co. Spotted on the wrists of every trendsetter around LA, this cuff is by no means new to the scene. It’s a classic that’s making a comeback. When I went home for Christmas, my mom was cleaning out her jewelry drawer and I could not believe my luck as she pulled out her old, scratched up Bone Cuff. She generously lent it to me, and I’m unsure if she will ever get it back.

This piece adds the perfect edge to any look and is definitely a conversation starting piece. The Tiffany cuff obviously comes with a pretty large price tag, but there are plenty of available secondhand options on sites like The RealReal, and of course, plenty of dupes. However, its enduring popularity is proof that this cuff stands the test of time, and investing in the real deal might pay off years from now when your daughter asks to borrow (steals) it from you. If you’re considering pulling the trigger on the Bone Cuff, I would recommend trying it on in-store before purchasing. Ensuring the size is right will determine how comfortable it is, and for the price, you want it to feel perfect.

One of the beauties of working in the fashion industry is that I can justify my many long, online shopping sessions as “research.” When I spend hours scrolling Shopbop, Revolve, and Mytheresa, it’s totally fine because I’m gathering insights on editor spring fashion trends and getting inspiration for future collections. Whatever helps me sleep at night, right?

Plus, I’ve become somewhat of a fashion almanac, if you will, for my friends and family, utilizing my semi-photographic memory to curate outfits that precisely match their envisioned looks for various events. If there was a “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” episode focused on trending fashion, I’d walk away with a chunk of change and head straight to Saks Fifth Avenue.

image above from our interview with Mary Ralph Bradley

Clothing Rack Editor Spring Fashion Trends

But alas, I am no millionaire, so the urge to “add to cart” has turned into an extensive wishlist full of shoes, clothes, jewelry, and more. With spring finally here and summer right around the corner, I’m looking to refresh my wardrobe with a few new pieces, and the following list is exactly what I’d wish for if I found a genie in a bottle.

These 13 editor-approved spring fashion trends have occupied my mind for far too long to not see the light of day, so I’m putting this research to good use and sharing it with you. May my wishlist inspire your spring wardrobe, so that I can keep telling myself that an hour spent shopping is an hour well spent.

Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Sneakers

You heard it here first: Onitsuka Tiger Sneakers will be the it-sneaker of the year. With a similar profile to the Adidas Sambas, the Mexico 66 sneakers are at the top of my wishlist for being a more low-key option. Any colorway of these sneakers will make you stand out in a sea of Sambas, while still feeling on trend and in-style. If your sneaker game needs an upgrade, I highly recommend checking these out.

How to style: I’ve touched a bit on the wrong shoe theory while discussing 2024 fashion trends, but the theory states that an unexpected shoe choice instantly creates a more fashion-forward outfit. Following this trend, I’d pair these sneakers with high socks and a DÔEN sundress. However, if juxtaposition isn’t your style, these sneakers pair perfectly with jeans, boxer shorts, and sweats!

Another good option:

Prada Re-Nylon Mini Skirt

My fashion wishlist is typically a revolving door, but this Prada mini skirt has had a permanent spot on the list for a good year at this point. When buying anything designer, I think about two things: practicality and uniqueness. It needs to stand the test of time and surpass trends, but also needs to offer me something that I can’t find at a lower price point. This skirt checks every single box. It’s a classic color and silhouette that will never go out of style, yet the pouch detail is unparalleled. Even though I’m a sucker for a purse, I could walk out of the house empty handed while wearing my credit card and lipgloss. Doesn’t get more epic than that.

How to style: The way Enrica styled this mini skirt in her Instagram post has me taking major notes. I love the idea of dressing down such a high-fashion piece with a denim or cotton shirt and bringing it all together with a simple heel. Bonus points if the shirt hangs out of the bottom of the skirt.

Another good option:

Mejuri Toronto Mosaic Dôme Ring

One of the most stunning and artfully crafted pieces of jewelry I’ve seen in a while, the Mejuri Mosaic Dome Ring has been in my cart for weeks. Though not explicitly shown in the photo, this ring features six different colored and shaped gemstones scattered over the gold dome. I’ve been super into chunky jewelry as of late, and my self control is wearing thin. I might need to make this mine sooner rather than later!

How to style: The beauty of the Mosaic Dome Ring is that it goes with everything. The multicolored gemstones will pair well with any color you’re wearing, or serve as a subtle pop of color when in neutrals. Wear alone on your finger or stack with other solid dome rings.

Another good option:

Still Here Cowgirl Jeans

I’m a sucker for good denim. My constant struggle is that I own too many jeans and not enough tops, but alas, here is another pair of jeans on my wishlist. The shape plays on the horseshoe denim trend but features two side cutouts for a flattering and slimming fit. Not only are these slits fashionable, but they are functional, too—keeping you cool with airflow on hot summer days.

How to style: The best thing about these jeans is that you can style them how you would any pair of jeans, with the added stunning details automatically elevating your fit. While a white tee and jeans might seem boring, a white tee paired with these jeans is anything but. Plus, they are the perfect length to show off a fun sneaker or sandal choice.

Another good option:

Logan Tay Charm Necklaces

If you obsessively added charms to your charm bracelet growing up like me, you’ll love Logan Tay’s charm necklaces. The brass chains and unique charms give these necklaces a very vintage feel and add the perfect pop of color to any jewelry stack. Handmade and accurately marketed as “jewelry you’ll never take off,” Logan Tay’s charm necklaces will be my summer staple.

How to style: These chunky, vintage-looking necklaces will add interest to just about any outfit, from a white tee to a sundress to a bikini. While a charm necklace can definitely hold its own, I love layering in other pieces and letting the whole stack be the star of a simple outfit. On the other hand, if you’re wearing a colorful outfit, opting for a charm necklace with a similar color story easily pulls the whole look together.

Another good option:

Alémais Paradiso Silk Midi Dress

I came across this dress in a boutique in Australia and it reconfirmed that love at first sight exists. This dress has a 100% chance of making heads turn and starting conversations. It’s literally a piece of art, with the gorgeous print designed in collaboration with artist Alan Berry Rhys. If you love the print but the price point of the dress feels a bit high, the scarves from the same collection might scratch the itch.

How to style: This is truly my dream summer vacation dress. If you have a tropical trip or wedding on your calendar, wear this and win best dressed. I love being a maximalist with color, so I’d pick accessories that match one of the secondary colors like green, yellow, or blue for a bright and festive look.

Another good option:

Handover Silk Boxer Pants

The influencer boxer pant trend is still going strong, and this silky pair from Handover lives rent-free in my mind. Not only does Handover have the best marketing, attributing each style to a fictional ex-boyfriend, but each pair is artfully made-to-order in Spain. Heads up, due to the handmade nature of these pants, production time runs from 25-30 days—but I’m positive the wait will be worth it.

How to style: Boxer pants are all I want to wear these days, because you feel like you’re wearing pajamas, but look styled and on-trend. While Handover has plenty of wild prints for the out-of-the-box dresser, this classic silky pair is my ideal summer pant because of the versatility. Paired with a white tee and sneakers, these boxer pants are a chic and comfortable travel outfit, but once you arrive at your destination and throw on a pair of kitten heels, you’re ready for an easy summer night out.

Another good option:

Jeffrey Campbell Dancerina Ballet Flats

If I could snap my fingers and have a rainbow of Dancerina Flats in my closet, I would. I already own these ballet flats in black and light pink, and yet the silver, light yellow, red, and mesh versions haunt my dreams. With a similar look to The Row’s ballet flats, these are the comfiest flats on the market. Seriously—I’m talking zero blisters on the first wear. Running true to size, you might as well just order two colors at once to save yourself the trouble of placing a second order, because trust me, you will.

How to style: I style these ballet flats with just about everything in my closet. It’s rare that a pair of shoes works perfectly with jeans and a sweater for errands and a mini dress for date night, but these flats pass the test with flying colors. I personally love juxtaposing these feminine shoes with a more casual outfit, but every once in a while it’s fun to embrace my inner ballerina and wear it with a girlier look.

Another good option:

Helsa S Curve Blazer

If you follow me on TikTok, you know that I love a good blazer, and I am dying to add the Helsa S Curve Blazer to my collection. It has the vibe of an oversized blazer, but adds a feminine flare by showing off your waist. While you can’t go wrong with the black, I have my eye on the Khaki shade for chilly LA summer nights.

How to style: Like I said, if we’re connected on social, you know that blazers are my go-to and I’ve gotten pretty creative with how I style them. Of course, this blazer will look effortlessly chic with blue jeans and loafers, but I’d love to style the S Curve Blazer with a silk maxi skirt and heels, or if it’s cold enough, micro shorts and tights.

Another good option:

DESTREE Matching Smart Set

I first saw this set on Sofia Richie and immediately had to have it in my closet. The top/jacket is an actual showstopper. Crafted in Portugal, the unique shape of the shoulders, collar, and peplum create a flattering silhouette. Paired with the coordinating pants, it becomes a seamlessly chic look that’s perfect for any event. Available in multiple colors and patterns, don’t sleep on this set. I own it in a golden yellow color and think I need it in about five more shades.

How to style: This set obviously looks incredible when styled together with a simple pair of heels and some fun earrings, but to get more use out of the pieces, I love styling them separately as well. The jacket can be worn unbuttoned over a white tank with jeans and sandals for a fun, yet casual spring outfit, while the pants pair perfectly with a button down and slingbacks for a more professional setting. The possibilities are endless, and you will not regret this investment.

Another good option:

American Vintage Women’s Cardigan East

Button-up vests are one of my favorite things about summer style, so this sweater vest feels more like a need than a want. American Vintage is a French label that just opened its second US retail location in Malibu, and everything the brand touches turns to gold. The patch detail on this sweater vest will give people the impression that you spent hours digging through clothing bins at your local flea market, but the quality will feel designer.

How to style: Channeling last year’s coastal grandmother trend, I’d pair this sweater vest with white linen pants and sandals to be cool and comfortable all season long. I also love the creative way it’s layered in the image above for cooler nights, making this a year-round staple.

Another good option:

Cherry Los Angeles Hats

With sunnier days on the horizon, it’s more important than ever to wear your SPF and protect your skin. But, by no means does that mean you have to skimp on style. I love adding a vintage-inspired hat to my outfits in the summer, and no one does vintage-inspired quite like Cherry LA. My boyfriend has quite a few Cherry hats in his rotation and it’s about time I get one of my own.

How to style: This Cherry hat is the perfect way to protect your face in style this summer. I’m envisioning this hat joining me on trips to the farmer’s market in overalls, to the beach in bikinis, and to work in boxer shorts and a sweater. Keep this hat by your front door, because you’ll want to throw it on every time you leave the house.

Another good option:

Daily Drills Workout Cardigan and Leggings

I may be biased because I had a hand in creating this set, but the Workout Cardigan and Drills (leggings) from Daily Drills are a must for your next hot girl walk. The set comes in Mint Green and Mist blue, AKA the perfect shades for summer. The buttery-soft leggings have quickly become my favorite in my closet, and the workout cardigan is the light layering piece we all need for spring.

How to style: All of Daily Drills’ pieces are designed to be styled together, and when worn as a set, the workout cardigan and leggings are about as chic as activewear gets. Layer the cardigan over your favorite sports bra or workout tank and pair the leggings with high socks and New Balances to be best dressed heading to and from your workouts.
